Free crypto accounting tools
Five small calculators for the questions that come up mid-close. They are free, need no login, and upload nothing: every figure is computed in your browser from the numbers you type. Each one answers a single question well. Reconciling a whole entity across wallets, exchanges and periods is a different job, and that is what the crypto sub-ledger is for.
General information, not accounting or tax advice. Verify any figure against the applicable standards (IFRS / US GAAP), your jurisdiction's rules and your auditor.

The tools
- Crypto profit and ROI calculator: buy price, sell price, quantity and total fees in; invested, proceeds, profit and ROI out. A trade-level result, not a taxable gain.
- Ethereum gas fee calculator: gas units and gwei in; fee in ETH, and in fiat if you supply a price. Useful when you are classifying network fees rather than guessing at them.
- Crypto cost-basis calculator: match a disposal against your lots and see how the basis changes with the method you apply.
- Crypto journal entry generator: turn a single crypto event into the debit and credit lines it should produce.
- Crypto fair market value calculator: work out the value to record for a receipt or a revaluation at a point in time.
- This page, Free tools, is the index for the set.
What these tools are not
They are single-input utilities. They hold no history, they read no wallet, they do not know which lot a disposal consumed, and they do not carry a basis across a transfer between your own venues. Nothing you type is saved, so nothing carries from one calculation to the next. Treat the output as a check on a number you already have, not as a posting you can rely on without review.
They are also written for people keeping books for an entity. If you are working on an individual return rather than a company ledger, CryptaTax is the sister product for that.
When a calculator stops being enough
A calculator handles one trade. A period does not. Once you have several wallets, more than one exchange, transfers moving between them, fees paid in the native token and a policy that has to be applied identically to every disposal, the work is no longer arithmetic; it is a ledger. CryptaCount ingests activity from 90+ blockchain networks and 100+ exchange and wallet connectors, applies one of 12 disposal cost-basis methods consistently, maintains IFRS and US GAAP ledgers, and posts period journal entries into QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage or Zoho.
See the cost basis methods, how activity becomes journal entries, or the compliance reporting built on top. Pricing and the FAQ cover the rest.
